A beautiful initiative promoted by Skylabs srl, in Catania, with the collaboration of Legambiente Circolo Etneo, which a few days ago involved 70 engineers, computer scientists and programmers, in a voluntary activity during their working hours, which provided for the cleaning and removal of an open landfill.
The volunteer work carried out on this “special” day was different, from Milan where the Skylabs Group employees volunteered at the Opera di San Francesco for the poor association, in Catania, where along the Etna Northern provincial road , in the heart of the Etna Park, the volunteers spent the day eliminating an illegal open-air landfill, collecting and disposing of all the waste accumulated over years of uncivilized practices, which unfortunately led the area to be contaminated by dirt and waste waste of all kinds, which in addition to being polluted often also generates self-combustion and puts entire wooded areas of the territory at risk of fire.
