Owner Terry Walsh, a 64-year-old engineer, was truly amazed when his dog Hel, during the walk, pulled him up to a bush, where almost by a miracle he discovered a few hours old baby wrapped in a blanket at The Tea. Mound a park in Birmingham, England.
Surely without the help of the dog, Terry would not have noticed anything and would have mistaken the baby for a simple abandoned blanket.
When the owner tried to push her away, the dog had no intention of going away from that bundle that needed help, so Terry got suspicious, approached and heard something cry, from inside the bush.
Fortunately, the newborn was still alive, the police said it was a child born the same day and abandoned shortly after giving birth and that spending the night alone in the park could have been fatal.
While waiting for the police, Hel the dog, did not go away for a moment and all the time remained with her gaze fixed on that cold little bundle.
Thanks to the alarm, the police immediately intervened and the newborn was taken to the hospital where the medical staff took care of him, the little one is now called George because he was found the day before the feast of St. George.
